Leah Gourley participates in FFA, 4- H, and is a 3-year varsity tennis player.

Her love for tennis started six years ago. Leah shared, “I love playing tennis and the friendships and connections are what make tennis so much more fun.”

Gourley has not always had the confidence in each of her disciplines but has found a way to overcome and find her leadership style.

“ One of  my biggest challenges was being able to come out of my comfort zone and take the leadership in FFA.”

Gourley has been involved in 4-H since she was eight years old. She shows market goats at the Knox County Fair. She has competed annually and has won many skill competitions.

Although Gourley is not fully ready to take the next step in life after high school, she is still excited. She would like to go to college to become a veterinarian.

Gourley states, “ I am looking forward to college; it is just a challenge ahead of me that I’m not sure if I’m ready for yet.”

She said if there was any advice that she would like to give to any upcoming seniors or high schoolers it is simple.

“ Don’t put stuff off, it is better if you get it done when it needs to be done, it’s less stressful.”
