Mount Vernon, Ohio – April 27, 2024 – The Mount Vernon FFA team has demonstrated
excellence in the Ohio FFA Agricultural Issues Contest, securing a 10th place finish
among statewide competitors.

The contest, held at the Ohio FFA Center in Columbus on April 27, 2024, provided an                                                                                                    opportunity for teams to research pressing agricultural issues and present their findings to                                                                                                            a panel of judges and audience members. Competing against teams from across the state,                                                                                                          the Mount Vernon FFA showcased their dedication and expertise in addressing agricultural challenges.

Through research, thoughtful analysis, and a compelling presentation, the team earned                                                                                                                 recognition for their outstanding performance. The Mount Vernon FFA team’s success not only                                                                                            highlights their knowledge of agricultural issues but also underscores their proficiency in teamwork,                                                                              communication, and critical thinking. By engaging with professionals in the industry and promoting
dialogue on important agricultural topics, the team is actively shaping the future of
agriculture in their community and beyond.
“We are incredibly proud of our team’s accomplishments and the positive impact they
are making in the agricultural community,” added Stephanie Plumly. “Their passion and
dedication serve as an inspiration to us all.”
