Students in Mr. Vanderhoof’s physical science class learn about velocity through robots.

In Mr. In Vanderhoof’s physical science class, students delved into a hands-on exploration of velocity during second period this week. Harnessing the power of experiential learning, they  carefully measured a section of the hallway to determine their robot’s speed. With precision, the students recorded the time it took for their robots to traverse the entire length of the hallway, applying the calculated velocity to determine the hallway’s dimensions.  Mr. Vanderhoof  crafted the robots for their use in the physical science class. In the robotics class, students take charge, constructing their own robotic creations. This dual approach ensures a comprehensive and learning experience, allowing the students in both classes to integrate science and technology.
