Mount Vernon High School senior Lacey Owens receives the ACE (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) scholarship. Knox County students were selected by their home school and one senior received the overall award. This program recognizes high school Senior students that have overcome adversities as they prepare for graduation. Lacey will receive a $1,000 scholarship as the Knox County award winner. This award is sponsored by the Exchange Club of Mount Vernon and Knox County.
Avery Keuhner, who is also a MVHS senior, was nominated from the Knox County Career Center.
