MVHS celebrates Tennis win

Tennis – Mount Vernon High School’s junior Wyatt Rhoades and senior Toby Boggs won the third flight tournament at the Watkins Memorial Doubles Classic on Saturday at WMHS.  They defeated teams from Watkins Memorial, Westerville South, and DeSales to take home their championship medals.  Also participating in the tournament were junior Quinn Hoffman, senior Alex Beuhrer, sophomore Andrew Conway, junior Pete Lawhon, junior Reece Schuman, and junior Wade Brown.

Track – Boys finished first in the Invitational – Results

4×800 finished third (Ernest, Wiles, Rush, Marofsky)

110 hurdles Jack Craigo finished in second with a time of 15:49 – Personal Record

4 x 200 finished second (Looney, Thomas, Kennedy, Wilson)

800 Logan Eggert finished second with a time of 2:03:48

300 hurdles Hunter Looney finished second with a time of 42:58 – Personal Record

400 Ethan Young finished first with a 51:00; Ayden Kennedy finished fourth with a 53:65

4×100 finished fourth (Looney, Richards, Thomas, Young)

Mile – Logan Eggert finished first with a time of 4:30.14; Zane Barber finished fourth with a 4:44.03

200 finals – Ethan Young finished fourth with a 24:05; Mason Richards finished 8th with a 24:42

High Jump – Jack Craigo finished second with a 5-10
