The Jacket Athletic Booster Club is proud to announce the Armed Forces and First Responders Recognition Week September 14-16. The Jacket Boosters are teaming up with the Ohio National Guard, Knox Veterans Services, Mount Vernon Police Department and Mount Vernon Fire & EMS and Knox County Sheriff’s Department to recognize our armed forces (active and
veterans) and first responders for our Varsity athletic events happening September 14-16. Those service men and women will have ONE FREE admittance to all Varsity events September
14-16 along with a time to honor their sacrifice to our community and country. A badge or military card showing past or present duty is required for free admission per person. The Knox
County Veterans Office can provide a Veteran with their own free Veterans card (with proof of service required) at the KCVS office, Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. The following is a list of athletic events
Sept. 14-16 for the event:
Sept 14 – Girls Tennis vs Big Walnut Eagles at Ramser Tennis Complex MVNU 4pm
Sept 14 – Boys Soccer vs Big Walnut Eagles at Yellow Jacket Stadium 5pm & and; 7:15pm
Sept 15 – Football vs Ashland High School Arrows at Yellow Jacket Stadium 7pm
Sept 16 – Girls Volleyball vs New Albany Eagles at Mount Vernon High School 10am
