One week. Two games. Two last second shots.

This is exactly what happened to the Yellow Jackets as they found a way to secure another Jacket overtime victory as they defeated the Ashland Arrows, 74-72.

“This was a gritty win. I am proud of the way we battled. I didn’t know if I was going to get the last shot but I was confident in anyone on the team to take it,” said Rohler.

The scenario was eerily similar to the Johnstown game. With eight seconds remaining in overtime, a glimmer of hope appeared when Ashland missed a free throw and the Jackets pulled down the rebound.

Senior Hudson Rohler drove the ball down court and quickly passed the ball off to senior Caden Rowland. Rowland unable to find a shot kicked it back to Rohler who made the shot with ease.

“I am proud of how resilient we were through the game and staying the course. This is something we harp on daily and we did a fantastic job,”said Rowland.

Rohler finished the evening with 26 points followed by Rowland with 16. Senior Ben Bridges capped off the night with 14 and Cooper Carpenter with 11. Rounding out the Jacket scoring was Quentin Rowland with 4, Trevor Buttke with two and Logan Trace with 1.
