Lucy Rush made history on Saturday at the Watkins Invitational, setting a new school record in the girls’ 5K with a time of 18:06.50, breaking the previous record of 18:25, set by Sarah Baker in 2009. Rush’s outstanding performance also earned her first place overall in the race.
The girls’ team finished 8th out of 12 teams, showing solid effort against a competitive field.
On the boys’ side, Calvin Heithaus led the way with a strong 6th-place individual finish, helping the team secure 6th place overall out of 12 teams.
