Mount Vernon High School has earned top honors in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings, placing #134 among all high schools in Ohio and securing the #1 spot in Knox County.This significant recognition reflects the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student success, and well-rounded development.
In addition to leading the county, Mount Vernon High School was ranked second overall within the Licking County League, affirming the strength and competitiveness of its programs beyond the classroom. The school also earned the #2 spot among 20 comparable districts statewide, based on evaluations by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
These rankings consider a range of factors, including academic performance, college readiness, state assessments, graduation rates, and student-teacher ratios. Mount Vernon’s consistent performance across these areas showcases the dedication of its students, faculty, and staff.
