In the Know takes Ohio Cardinal Conference Championship; Mr. Fetters earns Coach of the Year honors
It didn’t take long for Mount Vernon High School’s Varsity In The Know team to prove what it already knew Monday at West Holmes High School in Millersburg. Confident entering the Ohio Cardinal Conference In The Know tournament, the Yellow Jackets’ team of four varsity participants cruised to the conference championship, winning but 20 points over second-place West Holmes.
Seniors Nick Grega, Emily Hammond, Charlie Comfort and Coby Mays contributed to the seven rounds against teams from other schools. Their performance led the team to not only win but also allowed coach Rob Fetters to win the Best Coach Award. They all received medals along with a plaque for their efforts.
