Homecoming week is full of many traditions at Mount Vernon High School. High school students participate in spirit week, the bonfire, and finish with a pep rally. Senior fall athletes and band members wanted all elementary students to also participate in their own pep rally at their individual elementary schools. Led by the Homecoming Queen Emma Dean and King Zack Karns, students were able to dance with the band, chant with the cheerleaders, and even defeat the seniors in a game of “head, shoulders, knees and cones.”
