Mount Vernon High School’s Volleyball team participated in the “Volley for the Cure” event honoring Mrs. Boone. The Lady Jackets successfully defeated “Block for Boone” defeating West Holmes in three sets. Volley for the Cure is an event where high school volleyball teams come together to raise awareness and funds for either breast cancer research or support for individuals.
Mrs. Boone is the wife of Mr. Boone – a teacher at Mount Vernon Middle School. The Lady Jackets provided a platform to show support for all of those impacted by breast cancer. “Volley for the Cure” raised $3,147.50 between the Middle School and High School games.
